Our Faith
New Jersey RODEM Church is a God-centered, Christ-centered, and Word-centered community in Fort Lee, NJ. We believe the living Word of God shapes who we are, how we love one another, and how we serve the world around us.
Everything we do flows from a simple conviction: that the Scriptures reveal Jesus Christ, and that knowing Him changes everything. We are not gathered around a personality or a program, but around the Lord and His teaching. As one big family, we open the Bible together, encourage one another to grow, and put our faith into action through love — welcoming Korean-American families, immigrant neighbors, and everyone who walks through our doors.
Rooted in the Word
A Word Movement, Not a Program
At the center of our life together is the open Bible. We call it the Word movement — the simple, steady practice of reading the Scriptures, hearing the Lord speak, and obeying what He teaches. It is how new believers take their first steps and how lifelong disciples keep growing.
Week by week we study God’s Word together in worship, in small groups, and one-on-one. The Word is what unites us across generations and languages, and what sends us out to love our neighbors in northern New Jersey and the greater New York area.
What We Believe
Our Core Beliefs
These convictions hold us together as one big family. They are not a checklist to pass, but the good news we are still learning to live.
One God: Father, Son & Holy Spirit
We worship one God, eternally revealed as God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit — three in perfect unity, full of love, holiness, and grace.
The Bible, God’s Inspired Word
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God — trustworthy, living, and active. It is our final authority for faith and life, and the foundation of our Word movement.
Salvation Through Faith in Jesus
We believe salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. In His death and resurrection we find forgiveness, new life, and hope that does not fade.
Called to Grow & Serve in Love
We believe every person is called to grow as a disciple of Jesus and to serve others in love — following Christ’s command to make disciples among all peoples.

The Heart of Our Mission
We follow Christ’s command to make disciples. Our mission is to raise up disciples among all peoples through the Word movement taught by the Lord. This conviction shapes our worship, our teaching, and the way we care for our neighbors — especially immigrant and Korean-American families finding their footing in a new home.

How Faith Takes Root
Where Belief Becomes Life
For us, faith is meant to be lived, not just discussed. It grows through prayer, through honest community, and through serving others. We gather to pray for one another, for our city, and for those who are far from home.

- Care for families — walking alongside immigrant and Korean-American households.
